The first artist who performed was CJ Conrad (not pictured. We got there a few minutes late to hear him). Next up was guitarist Wildmann who performed a Bob Marley tune, " So Sweet." Backgrounding were Donnie and Teresa Payne
The crowd
Before performing that nite, we got a shot of singers Sheldon Curtis and Aloha.

Aloha with her background singers.
Aloha was undoubtedly the highlight of the event. She began her set with a rendition of Etta James' "At Last." And check out those gams!
She also performed her politically laced single, "Now or Never." which is currently in rotation at Majic 104.9.
Aloha was the total package: Talent, poise and beauty.
Crowd folk during Aloha's set.
Holland interviewed the singing beauty.
Cafe Soul's Nichol Stevenson and Diversity Gallery's Lynette Daniels. Cafe Soul was one of the sponsors of the event. The other sponsors included Heineken and Vanita Applebum Entertainment.
Donnie, Wildmann and Payne posed backstage as though they were posing for a CD cover.

The featured artist was Lalah Hathaway who began her very short set with her latest single, the bouncy R&B jam, "Let Go" that appears on her debut Stax Records album "Self Portrait."
Before singing her second song, "Breathe," from her latest CD, Hathaway, asked the crowd if it was registered to and ready to vote in November and asked if folk were going to cop her CD.
We still love you, Lalah.
After her set, she posed for pics backstage and signed autographs of her CD. Here she is picD with Majic personality Darryl Eason.

After the Twlight Room event, we hit the Venue for a Virgo B-Bash.

And that was it.
No "Heaven Knows," "Somethin," "Baby Don't Cry," "I'm Coming Back" or even her fantastic remake of Luther's "Forver, For Always , For Love."
Disappointingly, Hathaway sang no other songs (not even an adlib of past songs). It was apparent that her 15 minute set was strictly promotional for her latest CD.
