The year 2008 had its share of national celebs who came through the ST. Louis area to perform in concert, host a party, make a speech to a crowd, attend an event as a fan or just chillin. The following are some fo those national celebs who came through the Lou (NOTE; Although we got celebs from the STL such as Cedric the Entertainer, Nelly, Chingy, Kimora Lee and the like, we wanna focus mostly on the out of towners who came through. Oh and we excluded the celebs who were from the Missouri and Illinois areas as well such as Lalah Hathaway, Neil Boyd, David Cook and Barack)
JANUARY 2008
Lamann Rucker was a panelist at King Dream Conference at the Renaissance Grand Hotel. Later on, he made an appearance at AJs.
BernNadette Stanis was also a panelist at King Dream Conference and later on hung out at J Bucks downtown(pictured with Stress Free Fridays’ Mark Anthony Jones and Monopoly’s Mocha Latte) and in August was a panelist at the Missouri Black Expo.
Former heavyweight champ Evander Holyfield was spotted at Lush. In September, he attended the Gateway Classic and Club Exo’s grand opening.
Former President Bill Clinton spoke at SIUE, then later in the month, accompanying his wife, Democratic Presidential candidate Senator Hilary Clinton at McCluer North High School . In October, he addressed a crowd at a Kirkwood high school in support for Obama.
