EVENT VIEWZ. This event was bananas on all levels. Of all the SYGU events I have atteneded, this had to have been the one that was the most wildest as far as peopel not givin a care of their image or decorum.

Err body and they mamma kicked it last Saturday at SYGU’s Mad Hatter event that was held at the Kemper Art Museum at Wash U. SYGU always come up with great concepts for parties (Anyone remember TEESE?). This party, you had to have a hat just for entrance before you paid (well, for those who wasn’t fortunate to get on the VIP list). No exceptions. Folks had on berets, skullies, flapper hats from the 40s, brims, you name it. Some got creative. There was one guy who had on a green graduation hat (Green? Dayam wherr did you graduate from?), a construction hat (who was doin some serious bumpin and grindin with a female up in there)and a dude who had on a Burger King hat (Now that’s too much playin). Folks kicked it like it was the last day on Earth all up in a spot that had so many rules, you thought you were in boot camp (don’t touch this, you can’t have a drink there, no flash photography)

As the nite went on, folk were feelin the 1s and 2s of both DJ Reminisce and Dj Enoch (who was dancing tough with a fluffy chic in a JR hat near the 1s and 2s). There were even some folk doin the Riverdance up in there. There was even a coupoel doin the vertical sex polka up in therre that I was about to put an NC-17 label on them. LOL. It was mad crazy, but it was all good up in there.

To get the crowd even more crazy, Mocha Latte, YOURS TRULY, So Diverse and mark Jones walked up to the first part of the stairs to the platform and created our own dance floor as folk looked up at us as though we were on SOUL Train. LOL.

SYGU mos def put their foot in this one, but I hope they don't use the spot anymore (They didnt know all those lockdown rules were gonna be all like that.) cause thats all one needs to mess up a Picasso up in therre casue someone did teh Solja Boy up in therre. LOL.

FLICK-VIEWZ. Big ups to STL directors Falaq and Rukahs for the premiere of their flick, “Ruzzian Roulette” that was shown last week during the ST. Louis International Film Festival. It was shown at the Tivoli (big ups to JUSTME Productions for the movie house!) and their was plenty of buzz on this flick.
The flick dealt with the HIV-AIDS epidemic and based on the reports of the brother who was spreadin HIV to women back in the 1990s on the East Side. There were plenty of STL actors up in that piece like Joel King(PICTURED ABOVE) , Erica Sutherlin, Lisa May and even DJ Enoch.
It was a bit uneven in storytelling , but it was definitely a provocative tale.
If you didn’t see it, you missed out!
