OUT 538--OUT ON THE TOWN--TURN IT UP at GRAMAPHONE Jan 16/WHISKEY CUP COMPETITION at SHELDON & 13 BLACK CATS PARTY at SOL LOUNGE Jan 18

Monopoly's Mocha Latte and YOURS TRULY Ma'at Atkins at Synergy's RSVP celebration party for the release Lumiere Place Model Calendar at Hotel Lumiere last Saturday. YOURS TRULY is holding the event's calendar signed by the models that nite on the front cover. Check out below where else OUTTOWN was this past weekend.

“The Love Requiem Pt 2” featured poet Invisible Man (PICTURED) as well as musicians Charles Quarrels, Moe E, Duane “Jingo” Williams, Calvin Barnes, Greg Lewis, Scripts & Screws, and Alphonso Harried.







There were two shows that nite for this jazzy event.The Love Requiem Pt 2 featured original compositions as well as interpretations of familiar love songs told through the Jazzy Soulful arrangements of Lamar Harris.







ON LAST FRIDAY, WE PEEPED OUT SOUlition & Rob Kirk's TURN IT UP at GRAMAPHONE.




Three of the STL's hottest DJs, from left: Enoch, Needles and Reminise did their wheels of steel solo and together blending records from around the globe, Enoch's selections provide soulful escapism through the sounds of house, classic R&B and hip-hop.

NOTE: This event was jam packed and err body was partyin as the crowd networked(not to mention the DJs hyping the crowd sayin Obama's name throughout the crowd).


LAST SUNDAY, WE CHECKED OUT the FIRST JACK DANIELS WHISKY CUP COMPETITION at SHELDON.



For the contest, seven bartenders from various STL bars made their signature Jack Daniel's and Gentleman Jack drinks for a panel of judges and the title of Jack Daniel's Whiskey Cup Champion. Participants were Skybox, the Loft, Cathy's Cozy Up, Cuetopia, Studio Blu, Olive Bistro and St. Louis Happy Hour.

Others included St. Louis Post's Kevin Johnson, SLPS Melanie Adams, St. Louis Zoo's Jennifer Poindexter and Platinum group's Jacque Land.
















They were mixin it up. The types of drinks they had to make were a Martini, a Long Cocktail and a Dinner Drink.

















Each contestant had four minutes to fix each drink.

Just coming off his stellar performance at Gramophone, DJ Enoch was on the 1s and 2s.

























Each bar had its supporters in the crowd.
























The Whisky Cup. The winner also won premiere tickets to the Steve Harvey Show at Chaifetz, Neyo at the Fox, 100.3 The Beat's Anniversary party feat. Ludacris and T.I. at Chaifetz, the St. Louis Blues, and Frankie Beverly and Maze /Teena Marie/Keith Sweat at Chaifetz.






















The People's Choice Award went to Cathy's Cozy Up. They had the most votes from the public that night. The bar won a bar furniture.
























They were hyped!


























The winner was Gabrielle Harris (RIGHT)from Skybox.

NOTE: Overall the event was definitely something new for the STL. There was a tie with Skybox (we cant recall who was in the tie with Skybox and the judges had to redrink soem of the drinks to pick the winner. There were a few mishaps (Contestants only had one blender near the end, with one blender went through a malfunction.) causing the contestant from St. Louis Happy Hour not being able make his dessert drink on time.

At Sol Lounge was Something Blue promotions couple Larry and Becky Blue. Also in the house were Freeman Bosley Jr., (one of the 13 Black Cats), Stress Free Fridays MarkAnthony Jones Cafe Soul's Nichol Stevenson and the Post's Kevin Johnson to name a few of the many.
