OUT 557--OUT ON THE TOWN--SOULITION presents LOVE MOVEMENT at NUBIA and TEDDY B's B-DAy PARTY at MODAI--FEB. 13, 2009

Host DJ Needles kept it spinnin on the 1s and 2s . The first poet up was vet poet MK Stallings who read a new piece.

Next up was poetry duo Corey Black and Xplicit who did their signature piece, "I Need A.A."







featured artist Teresa Jenee came out doin a free flow song with Needles and Black Spade, the other DJ on the 1s and 2s.







She also sang some songs off her EP including the new wavish, "Don't Break My Heart."







Spade, Jenee, and Needles jammin it up.









Jenee also did a few tunes on the keys including, Stevie Wonder's "Ribbon in the Sky" and one her songs, the crowd fave, "Pushin."








Singer CJ Conrad and promoter Vanita Applebum attended.









Black Spade also performed and walked through the crowd.












Spade was in a zone.













And so was the crowd.




NOTE: This event was great. It was definitely a neo soul event with poetry. After the set, Needles played some classic 80's & 90's Super Slow Jam set @ Midnight.
