Mario was the surprise musical performer who caused the ladies in the crowd to scurry to the stage to scream and yelp for him. He was in town for the past week performing at Six Flags and Matthews Dickeys Girls and Boys Club.

Mario only performed two songs, "How Can I Breathe," and "Crying Out for Me." Then he got a young lady to come up on stage to be his Karian Smirnoff and did some ballroom dancing with her ala Dancing with the Stars as the dee-jay played some Sinatra style music for them to dance to. After that, he was ret to party with the crowd (that was until his fans rushed him to get his pic and any piece of him that they tried to get their hands on)

But the real star was YOURS TRULY, Ma'at Atkins, lookin ultra boho chic. The I-Party blog said he was ready for the occassion.

EVENT VIEWZ: Overall this invite only event was cool. It was nice seeing the debut of the new 8th floor terrace and its miscelleny: three bars, a luxury swimming pool and jacuzzi. And to top it off, the view of the city at nite looking over and seeing the Lacledes Landing area and downtown was quite breathtaking and very Las Vegasey.

The only drawbacks were if one got there after 8 p.m. they missed the all-you-can-drink hour. After that, one had to pay for a drink ticket (So much for VIP). But that was all they got. If you were hungry, you had to go to the inside to the restaurant and eat. You couldnt take it outside to the terrace. But what about the complimentary appetizers? Well, we were thinking the same thing. There were none. We were shocked. They usually have a few bites of samples for the VIPers to consume while partaking alcohol and atmosphere(Espcially with a debut of something this major!) . The trays the waiters had were used to escort alcohol to tables. No eats were on them.

Nevertheless, the event like we said was nice. Great atmosphere and colorful mix of VIPers. In the house were ALIVE Magazine editor in chief Attilio D'Agostino, ALIVE's Jason Nichols, Elson Williams Jr. (the daddy) Keenan Harris, 1st Fridays Harry Michel and Fred Finley, FREETIME's Roy Robinson, Singer Coco Soul, F15teen 's Stuart Allen and Miss Patrice to name a few.
