OUT 607--OUTTOWN EXCLUSIVE: SILKY SOL in NEW ORLEANS FOR ANNUAL FESTIVAL. April 30 to May 3, 2009

Photos courtesy of Silky Sol Therre's STL singer Silky Sol on stage during the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival on the Congo Square "My Lousiana" Stage. She performed April 30 of the second leg of the festival. She opened for the legendary R&B singer Solomon Burke. The festival had close to 100 artists of R&B, jazz, blues, pop and zydeco. Other artists who performed during the festival include legendary acts such as Neville Brothers, Allen Toussaint, OJays and Maze as well as Bonnie Raitt, the Whispers, Los Lobos, Ben Harper, Musiq Soulchild and country act Sugarland.

During her stay in Nawlins, Sol was at the House of Blues to get her perform on.
