The sign in front of the Taste of St. Louis festivities. The 8th, 9th amd 10th streets by Market Street were blocked to get their grub on.
People got their eat on for sure!
They had many vendors of art, and businesses gettin people to buy or sign up for.

RIGHT: The chefs get ready for their cook off competition.
LEFT: This statue moved playing those drums. Actually it was a young lady dressed like a statue. It was one of the popular attractions of Tatse of ST. Louis
The crowd. I was really tripping that the organziers made a big deal about the searches ofpeopels' bags of weapons and glasswear and such, but when YOURS TRULY walked through there, I wasnt checked. I just strolled in there.

EVENT-VIEWZ. I dont have much to talk about about this year's Taste Of St. Louis. I only attended Saturday's event and ate a few things (some Jerk wings that were a bit uncooked and some BBQ Jambalaya that was OK). But I was mostly tripping off the fact that this year's event didnt have hip-hop or local talent like last year (Nelly's Derrty ENT stage was goin on last year). They also moved the vending from Chestnut street to Market Street. All in all, it was packed with blacks, whites and all in between (I even saw Calvin Nelson strolling a toddler in a stroller and 1st Friday 's Fred Finely driving a motor scooter throughout the crowd).

EVENT-VIEWZ. The Neo Meets Soul event was cool. It was like the 1st one they had in August with hip-hop and dancing upstairs and neo-soul singers performing downstairs. It was a decent crowd. With the media frenzy goin on with Loos Cannon's Black Party, to have about 100 or so people up in therre was good. Congrats to So Diverse!
EVENT VIEWZ. I checked out Tyler Perry’s What’s Done in The Dark over the weekend at the Fabulous Fox Theatre. The play which doesn’t stray too far from the subject matter in most of Tyler Perry’s; plays (relationship and health issues), the only difference is, Tyler Perry’s infamous Madea wasn’t in it (she was mentioned by some of the characters as being in jail--again)
Set in a hospital emergency room, there are ample opportunities for all of the characters in this story to find some trouble. There's Mr. Brown (played by David Mann) and his daughter Cora (played by Tamara Mann), the head nurse Kerry (played by singer D’atra Hicks) , Dr. Paul Bowman and Brenda and her son Calvin, a handsome basketball player with bright hopes for the future.
There was plenty of eye candy for the women of attractive men and for all, over the top comedy with the Browns (who were on the stage strictly for comic relief sans Madea). Hicks keeps the laughs going with her Sandra Clark-propisms and her getting her man in the end.

As stated earlier, its standard fare for fans of Tyler’s’ soul gospel opera style stageplays. Clever marketing at its best came before the cast did its final bow as Perry was presented via screen apologizing for not being present and ran a teaser of his upcoming flick, “Why Did I get Married.”
BELOW ARE PICS FROM NEPH JEROME TWEEZLE STEWART's FOOTBALL GAME THAT WAS HELD AT BELLEVILLE WEST. HIS TEAM, BELLEVILLE EAST LANCERS WON OVER BELLEVILLE WEST MAROONS 42-13. STEWART PLAYS RUNNING BACK FOR THE FRESHMAN TEAM AND HE PLAYED A BIT IN THE 1ST QUARTER.
